Hagerstown Speedway Prepares For 2018 Racing Season

Returning for a 71st year of racing at the Hub City ½ mile, Hagerstown Speedway is ready to present the 2018 racing season to its fans with a variety of events on the schedule.

Kicking off the season traditionally is the annual Race-A-Rama car show at the Valley Mall on February 26 – March 4 to give fans an up-close and personal look at the machinery that will grace the clay oval throughout the season.

The show concludes with an awards ceremony and the crowning of the pageant winner for Miss Hagerstown Speedway 2018.

Throughout the month of March, Hagerstown Speedway will host a Community Yard Sale, along with Tune and Test Sessions for all classes of cars on March 10, 17, and 24 before the official opening night of the 2018 racing campaign on March 31 with the 71st season opener featuring the Ultimate Northeast Super Late Model Series, Pure Stocks and U-Cars.

The Super Late Model winner will receive a guaranteed qualifier for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event on April 21.

Plenty of variety will be featured during the season. Super Late Models will be featured throughout the season with special events. The Mason-Dixon Shootout Series returns to showcase the Late Model Sportsman teams and the Mid Atlantic Modifieds return to feature E-Mod racers on special nights.

The Crate Late Models, Penn-Mar Vintage Racers and the Classic Car Racing Series will also make appearances during 2018.
