Hagerstown, MD (4/23/22)- Port Royal Pa’s Devin Hart became the third different winner of the three week old season in last Saturday nights 20 lap Late Model Sportsman main at Hagerstown Speedway. Hart’s win, aboard his Campbell chassis no.2, would be the defending Port Royal and Selinsgrove (PA) Speedway’s Late Model Sportsman champions 3rd overall win of 2022 as he’s also taken victories in the keystone state at Port Royal and Bedford.

Hart shot from his front row starting spot to lead the field into turn one, and would eventually hold off first his cousin Trent Brenneman and then Cody Kershner Who was the runner-up in last week‘s Main event, to collect his first Hagerstown win of the season. Read more

“DeHaven Scores Big Saturday at Hagerstown”

“Troutman Romps to Victory in E-Mods”

    Hagerstown, MD (4-16-22)- Winchester Virginia’s Jonathan DeHaven scored his first win of the season in last Saturday nights Late Model Sportsman feature at Hagerstown speedway. The win for DeHaven, the 3rd of his Hagerstown career, came steering his familiar Swartz Chassis no.13D and would be his second overall win of 2022 as he was a recent Sportsman winner at Winchester Speedway.

Jakob Piper shot from the pole and appeared headed to his career first win at the speedway. Second Starting DeHaven had been on Pipers bumper during this time and would ultimately slide by Piper to take the lead on the 13th lap. DeHaven would eventually lead the distance but would how to hold off a charging Cody Kershner who had come from 10th on the grid to preserve the win. “All the cars here at Hagerstown are fast and you have to be on your A-game if you’re going to run with them.” DeHaven stated in victory Lane. “My car was really good tonight thanks to Audie Swartz as his changes keep getting us better, and I can’t forget Chris Fletcher, from Fletcher made horsepower, his motors are awesome.” Piper held tough for third with Dale Murphy and Danny Atherton rounding out the top five. TYLER ERB GETS FIRST LUCAS OIL WIN OF THE YEAR AT HAGERSTOWN

Hagerstown, MD (April 9, 2022) – It was a clean sweep for Tyler Erb on Saturday Night at Hagerstown Speedway as the 25-year-old Texas native set Allstar Performance overall fast time, won his heat, and led all 50 laps to win the Conococheague 50 in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned event.

Defending race winner Tim McCreadie finished in second followed by Gregg Satterlee, Kyle Hardy, and points leader Devin Moran. With the win, Erb becomes the 13th different winner in 14 Lucas Oil races held at Hagerstown Speedway, which is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year. Read more

“Jeff King Scores Coveted Victory in Hagerstown Opener”/“Levi Crowl Crate Late Model Star”

     Hagerstown, MD- Pasadena Maryland’s Jeff King kicked off the 2022 season at Hagerstown Speedway by posting his first career Late Model Sportsman feature win at the historic Washington County oval. King and Dale Murphy shared the front row for the start of the 20-lap event with Murphy leading the first lap until King swept by on lap two to take the top spot. From that point forward it would be a race for second as King had his Rocket no.24K dialed into perfection and would speed off to the breakthrough win. “I just got lucky and drew a good pill and fortunately I was able to capitalize on my good fortune.” King stated after his victory. “ The track was really slick early but we had a good car tonight and I have dreamed of winning here most of my life.” Murphy settled for a hard fought second, with Sean Merkel, Kyle Lear and 11th starting Dale Hollidge rounding out the top five.
     Clear Spring Maryland’s Levi Crowl would also take his career first Hagerstown feature win in the 20-lap FASTRAK Crate Late Model main aboard his Rocket no.5. Matt Hildebrand and Justin Kann each lead for one lap until Crowl blew in to take the lead for good on the third lap. Crowl would then runoff uncontested to take the win over Justin Kann, Mason Diaz, Trevor Collins and Matthew Hildebrand. “ it’s always been a dream of mine to stand on that front stretch in victory Lane as well as my dad’s.” Crowl reflected after his win. “In the feature I knew I wasn’t going to be able to pass Justin (Kann) once we got going green flag. So my only shot was going 3rd to 1st with that slider going into one and luckily it stuck and we held on for the win.”
    In other opening day action, defending track champion Cody Kershner collected the 15-lap pure stock feature win for his seventh career track score, and in the 15 lap Hobby Stock contest youthful Dylan Beavers Also became a first time Hagerstown feature winner.

Hardy Takes Coveted Durboraw Tribute Saturday at Hagerstown”

    Hagerstown MD, 8/14/21- Linden Virginia’s Kyle Hardy scored a thrilling Late Model win in last Saturday nights 41-lap Nathan Durboraw Tribute at Hagerstown Speedway. The win for Hardy, worth $4100, came steering his Sommey and Ruth Ann Lacey owned Rocket no.45 and would mark his 8th career win at the venerable half-mile oval. Kyle Lee darted into the lead at the drop of the initial green flag with Jason Covert in tow. As Lee set the pace, 4th starting Kyle Hardy arrived in second on the 15th lap and would squeeze into the lead until Lee took it back on the 19th lap. Lee would then pace the field until Hardy took over again on the 28th circuit. Gary Stuhler challenged Hardy until Trever Feathers took second on lap-36 and hunted Hardy down. Over the final 5 laps, Hardy and Feathers put on another epic Hagerstown battle, with Hardy prevailing for his overall 24th feature win of the 2021 season. “It’s truly an honor to win this race here tonight.” Hardy stated post race. “The Durboraw family did a great job with this event and I sure am glad to be standing here.” Hardy was quick to praise those who aided in his winning effort. Sommey (Lacey) has given me a great opportunity this season driving his car and I hope we have a few more to come before the season is over.” Gary Stuhler held tough for third with 11th starting Marvin Winters and Jason Covert completing the top-five. Heats for the 27 entries went Logan Roberson, Kyle Hardy and Ross Robinson.
    Veteran Brian Booze took the lead on the first lap and held off current point leader Cody Kershner to score his first career division feature win in the 15-lap Pure Stock main. Tony Catlett, Jason Stoner and Jeremy Tinsman trailed at the finish. Heats went to Bobby Miexsall and Josh Bloom.
    Cody Breeden closed the program with his 3rd win of the season in the 15-lap Hobby Stock feature. Breeden took the lead on the first lap and would eventually lead the distance. Nathaniel Younker, Scot Sipes, Lane Hessong and current point leader Trevor Larrick filled the front five. Heats went to Sam Caravello, Younker and Larrick.
