LONG AWAITED HAGERSTOWN OPENER FALLS TO TREVER FEATHERS. ANDERSON CRATE LATE MODEL STAR

Hagerstown, MD (4/6/24)- After two consecutive events lost to weather, Maryland’s Hagerstown Speedway was able to get their first event of the season in the books with Winchester Virginia’s Trever Feathers scoring the win in the headline 25-lap Late Model Sportsman main.
Lining up seventh for the start, Feathers snared the race lead from Jonathan DeHaven on the fourth lap and would steer his Team Zero Bloomquist Chassis no.27 to the win which was checkered on lap-17 as the feature time limit had expired. “We got this car a few weeks ago and it was really good today.” Feathers stated post race. “The track was slick today, which I love, and we plan to race this car when we can.” The win was Trever’s second career win with the Late Model Sportsman and 10th overall career track victory as he has 8 wins with the full blown Late Models. Shawn Shoemaker took second with Ryan Zook, Cody Kershner and Scott Palmer rounding out the top five. Heats for the 25 cars on hand went to Feathers, Shoemaker and Scott Palmer.
In the 20-lap Crate Late Model main it was Bunker Hill West Virginia’s, Andy Anderson posting his first career division feature win. Like Feathers in the Sportsman feature, Anderson drove from his seventh starting spot to take the lead from Jarrett Edwards on the ninth lap to score the popular victory aboard his familiar Rocket no.25. “Hats off to the race track crew.” Anderson stated. “Those guys had it smooth and you could race all over it and the good thing about Hagerstown you can come from eighth or so and win because the track is so racy.” Braeden Dillinger posted a career best runner-up finish with 10th starting Trevor Collins, Brian Booze and second year driver Davin Kaiser completing the top five. Dillinger, Edwards and Branson Woodward were heat race winners over the 25 cars entered.
After leading the division with 10 wins in 2023, Jason Stoner picked up where he left off and posted his 15th career Hagerstown win in the 15 lap Semi Late main. Jason Wilkins, Kody Sites, Dillon Wilson and Steve Kent trailed at the finish. Heats went to Stoner and Brady Neff.
Randy Linaburg came from his 8th starting spot to collect his second career Hagerstown feature win in the 15 lap Pure Stock feature. Evan Foust, Dylan Beavers, defending division champion Keith Reed and Nathaniel Younker completed the top five. Robert Thompson and Evan Foust were heat race winners.
