“Altobelli Blitzes E-Mod Field Saturday at Hagerstown”

“Wilbur, Breeden and Shatzer Take Sportsman, Crate LM, and 305 Sprint Victories”

Hagerstown, MD (8/6/22)- Saxton Pennsylvania’s Michael Altobelli Jr. Drove to his 3rd win of the season in last Saturday nights 25-lap Mid Atlantic Modified feature at Hagerstown Speedway. The win for Altobelli, worth $1000, came steering his familiar Harding motorsports, Lethal Chassis no.95.

Altobelli snared the lead from Brian Booze Midway through the event and would easily outdistance the remainder of the field to secure the win. “I’ve got the hardest working team in the business.” Altobelli reflected post race. “They don’t let me touch the car once we get to the track and I get the easy part of driving it so these wins are for them.” Booze was solid in second with Justin Cullum, Ray Kable and Donnie Farlling Completing the top five. Heats went to Michael Pappas, Rick Hulson, Altobelli and Booze.

Hagerstown Maryland Dylan Shatzer Scored a convincing win in the 25-lap 305 Sprint Car feature. Shatzer blasted from the pole and would eventually lap up to the fourth place car taking the popular win in the caution free event. “We’ve had a good car all season and to win here in front of the hometown fans is awesome.” Steve Kenawell Jr, Drew Ritchey, Jay Fry and Brad Mellott trailed at the finish. Heats went to Mellott and Shatzer.

In the 20-lap Wingless Super Sportsman contest, Mechanicsburg Pa’s Steve Wilbur took the lead from Bob Gutshall on the 18th lap and would go on to score the popular win. “Well, today is my Birthday, so no better way to celebrate than getting the win here tonight.” Craig Perigo, Kevin Gutshall and Trent Yoder rounded out the top-five. Heats went to Yoder and Bob Gutshall.

In the 20-lap Crate Late Model feature Codey Breeden took the lead on the first lap and would lead the distance to secure his first career division feature win. “I have to thank my mom and dad and everyone on this team because if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be here right now.” Chuck Bowie, Brayden Anderson, Jacob Burdette and Bill Ecton Sr. filled the top five.
